Factor 15 Plus -
Basically a sun block

50ml tin
Code SC50
Price: £9.50

An incredibly effective sun block which you can wear in very strong sun and not even go pink. Perfect for vulnerable noses, children and redheads. We make this with titanium dioxide which is a physical barrier.  It is white - you have to rub it in carefully but it does disappear - and the microfine titanium dioxide remains on the surface of your skin and completely protects from harmful rays.  We also use shea butter which has a natural sun protection factor and sesame oil which blocks up to 30% of the sun's UV rays. Rich in antioxidants sesame oil helps neutralize the free radicals generated by UV exposure.

Spring water, titanium dioxide, sesame oil, organic sweet almond oil, vegetable glycerine, grapeseed oil, organic shea butter, vegetable-based emulsifiers, vitamin E, preservative, organic essential aroma of coconut.

aqua, titanium dioxide, sesamum indicum, prunus amygdalus dulcis, glycerin, sodium stearoyl lactylate, vitis vinifera, glyceryl stearate, butyrospermum parkii, cetyl alchohol, tocopherol, phenoxyethanol, ethyl hexylgycerine, cocos nucifera

More information about our Sun Cream

We are only allowed to call our cream factor 15 plus because of the amount of TD we use but believe me it is a COMPLETE block. I have just come back from 4 days in boiling (over 40 degrees) Marrakech - including walking in the Atlas mountains. I am fair with sensitive skin and burn easily.  I didn't even go pink with this cream and nor did any of my friends. When I came back to London last week and sat on the roof terrace, with no cream, I went lobster red in about 20 degrees! We have all tested this in the mountains in Turkey in full summer and had exactly the same results - not even slightly pink. We have been selling it on the markets for the last few years - red heads have tested it and had brilliant results. If you want a tan it is a good idea to mix a bit in with your body cream otherwise you'll stay pale and interesting. Physical sunscreens tend to be better tolerated than chemical sunscreens by most skin types  because the chemical filters used in the latter can be irritating for many people. If you react badly to mineral make up this cream probably isnt for you though as this suggests you have an allergy to titanium dioxide.

"The cream is great for our son, who normally complains about putting suncream on because it stings. No more fights putting it on his ears! My wife has taken a liking to it too. You may have to start doing it in bigger pots ...!"

"Wow! After living in very hot Senegal for the last few months, I can honestly say the Shea Alchemy suncream is amazing. Haven't been burnt once, and one tub lasts so long. Hooked for life! Thanks Shea Alchemy!!"
